What are NFC Tags?

Near Field Communication (NFC), is a subset of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). NFC allows for simplified transactions, data exchange, and wireless connections between two devices in close proximity to each other, usually by no more than a few centimeters. NFC Tags placed on retail displays or signage can deliver information to a person's smartphone via their mobile Web browser.
