When will GS1 Digital Link replace UPC at point-of-sale?
The industry has established a deadline for adopting 2D barcodes at the point-of-sale, known as Sunrise 2027.
This initiative aims to implement GS1 Digital Link throughout the entire global supply chain by 2027, with GS1 leading the project and collaborating with various businesses and organizations. GS1 US is working with both supply- and demand-side organizations and solution providers to facilitate the transition towards the "next generation" of barcodes.
